Jill Pennock

Jill Pennock is an affiliated instructor of the “Kennel Clubs Good Citizen Scheme” at all levels. This includes Puppy Assessment, Bronze, Silver and Gold tests. Training for these certificates can be done in Group lessons or individual private lessons. So if you want to improve your dogs social skills, develop general obedience, or even overcome a behavioural problem, all your needs can be accommodated.

Jill Pennock specializes in the training of dogs with behavioural problems (e.g. Aggression, Hyperactivity, Nervousness, Attention seeking, Food and kennel guarding, Separation anxiety  and any other problems, and because of the specialized nature of this type of training the best results are gained from private lessons.

Training is also available for competitive obedience and working trials, gundog, agility, flyball and heel work to music.

Before starting any training lessons a private assessment  is performed for all dogs which will cover the dogs behaviour at home and outdoors, diet and health, and the owners handling skills. This assessment is essential to determine what will be required to meet your individual needs.

Group Lessons ...

The group lessons are held on a Saturday in the training paddock. Any dog is welcome from 12 weeks old and upwards. Each lesson is for one hour for 9 weeks. The first week being the individual assessment followed by 8 consecutive weeks of group sessions.

The 'Group Lessons' cover...

  • Socialization
Helping your dog become community friendly, training it to mix with people and other dogs

  • Recall
So your dog can be let off its lead without fear it will run off.
  • Sit and Down positions
So that your dog learns to take position and stay there until you release them.

There are also other group classes on a Saturday for more advanced dogs and their handlers.
